REHAB will take place from 23 – 25 June 2022 as a live event in the trade fair centre Karlsruhe.

As early as last year, Messe Karlsruhe developed protection and safety concepts in cooperation and close coordination with the responsible public order offices, which will be applied at all events. This is what our SAFE EXPO seal stands for.

Transparency, open cooperation and our health are our top priorities.

On the Messe Karlsruhe Website, you will find an overview of the most important measures and specifications.

Safe Expo Guide

1. Hygiene measures

The consistent observance of the applicable hygiene regulations forms the basis for our trade fairs. Messe Karlsruhe is planning the following measures:

  • Permanent, active information of exhibitors, visitors, service providers and employees before and during the trade fair about necessary infection protection measures to be observed by them, such as
    • Detection of a negative PoC antigen rapid test or a PCR test
    • Hand hygiene
    • Respecting keeping your distance
    • No Handshake Policy
    • Issue of respiratory masks (if necessary)
    • special services offered to exhibitors to ensure hygiene measures on their stand

  • Compliance with strict hygiene regulations
    • closely timed cleaning cycle for sanitary facilities with appropriate disinfection
    • Regular cleaning of door handles and other contact surfaces (e.g. handrails, elevator buttons, cash machine) with disinfectant

  • High density of hand washing facilities and hand disinfection columns (entrance areas, info counters, catering units etc.)
  • Guaranteed good ventilation of entrances, halls and conference rooms through the central operation control of the ventilation system
  • Observation and implementation of the specifications for catering concepts by our catering contract partner GAUL's Catering
  • Observance and implementation of the guidelines for contact restriction and hygiene in the personnel service, e.g. through face visors, contactless admission management
  • Deutsches Rotes Kreuz staff on site with own action plan/reporting chain
    • skilled staff
    • central contact points
    • Fever measurement/temperature scanning (if necessary)

2. Person density/visitor control

Messe Karlsruhe is well prepared to control visitors through the exhibition:

  • consistent admission management e.g. through online ticketing
  • Crowd management systematics to ensure the necessary distance
  • Communication of rules of conduct (posters and digital signage) at regular intervals and in the sanitary facilities
  • Notes via public address system
  • Distance markings in the entrance area, within the event and at the exit

3. Contact tracing

In order to enable targeted contact tracing in suspicious cases, we can implement the following suitable measures, if prescribed, in the run-up to and during the event:

  • Focus on online ticketing
  • Obligatory full registration of exhibitors, visitors, service providers and employees on the exhibition grounds
  • Communication, information and use of the official contact tracing app recommended by the federal government (if available)

Messe Karlsruhe is in constant close contact with the health authorities. Recommendations and instructions from the authorities are implemented as soon as they are available.

AUMA, the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, provides the current entry requirements for participants of trade fairs in Germany on its website. The information is constantly updated under the following link:

Your registration for REHAB is at first free of charge. The initiation of a contract begins with the receipt of the admission. You can withdraw from your participation free of charge up to a maximum two weeks after receiving your official admission.

COVID-19 will probably accompany us for a longer time. It is therefore all the more important for us as organisers to carry out our events safely and reliably, taking into account all valid requirements. Thus, we are already preparing for different scenarios so that we can act actively and a realisation of REHAB is and remains plannable.

Understandably, you as an exhibitor are particularly concerned about the "worst case" scenario that we as the organiser have to cancel the trade show due to official orders or specifications that cannot be implemented. In order to at least calm down the worries associated with this scenario, we would like to provide you with security especially for this case.

In the event of an officially ordered cancellation, you have the option of having your existing exhibitor registration rewritten to a new date. Alternatively, you can withdraw from the contract concluded with us. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are uncertain or have any questions.

According to the current status, there are no special requirements for the stand design. However, we recommend a stand planning, so the distance rules can easily be maintained and the visitors feel comfortable. The maximum permitted number of persons at the stand must be determined in accordance with the stand size and compliance with the distance rule of 1.5 m.

We will be happy to assist you in the creation / organization of your stand, taking into account the relevant official requirements. If you have any questions, please contact the exhibitor service.
