Neurorehabilitation conference with a compact educational program

CON.THERA Interdisciplinary Conference for Therapistsat the Conference Center of the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center

Save the date: From 13 to 15 May 2027, the fourth edition of the interdisciplinary conference for therapists CON.THERA will take place at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center, parallel to the REHAB trade fair, with a focus on neurorehabilitation.

CON.THERA brings together leading experts in neurorehabilitation at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center. Sabine and Hans Lamprecht from Team Lamprecht Fobis, who are responsible for the content of the specialist congress, together with their network, invite you to an interdisciplinary exchange – with the clear aim of further strengthening cooperation between the professional groups involved in therapeutic care. The focus is on key questions in modern neurorehabilitation: How can therapeutic care be improved in the long term? What is the effect of guideline-based therapy? And what influence does a holistic approach have on the treatment of stroke and Parkinson's patients as well as other neurological diseases?

Over three days, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, rehabilitation technicians, and orthopedic technicians are invited to expand their knowledge through high-quality lectures, exchange ideas, and network across disciplines.

As a participant, you will receive up to four continuing education credits for each module!

"At our CON.THERA therapist conference, participants can feel and experience the power of interdisciplinary collaboration! This is because professionals from various disciplines come together here to share innovative approaches, the latest research, and practical solutions in the field of neurorehabilitation. It not only offers the opportunity to expand your network, but also to benefit from new ideas for therapeutic work. In conjunction with REHAB Karlsruhe, where the latest aids are on display, the event is particularly valuable for compact and competent further training."

New partner VPT with palliative care theme block

The “Palliative Care” theme block, initiated and designed by Verband für Physiotherapie – Vereinigung für die physiotherapeutischen Berufe (VPT) e.V. will begin with a discussion round on the topic of “Rehabilitation at the end of life: a contradiction? Why therapeutic professions are essential at the end of life.” The other presentations will address topics such as challenging conversations and decision-making in the terminal phase of life." The VPT's participation in the CON.THERA Congress underscores our commitment to strengthening the importance of physical therapy in interprofessional contexts such as palliative care. The professional exchange and practice-relevant synergies that arise here provide valuable impetus and help to further develop skills and improve patient care in the long term," says Matthias Grötzinger, VPT specialist group leader for neurology, pediatrics, geriatrics, palliative medicine, psychology, and psychiatry.

Beate Frères, Head of In-House Exhibitions at Messe Karlsruhe, adds: “The association's commitment to physiotherapy within our therapist congress is a valuable addition to the range of topics covered. With the expertise and network of such professional associations, REHAB and CON.THERA enable us to offer an even more comprehensive platform for this crucial interdisciplinary exchange and to strengthen our medical and therapeutic field of expertise in the long term.”
