Future pavilion at REHAB

In the Future Pavilion, the start-up area at REHAB, visitors can take a look into the future: When research projects such as Clever Sole from the start-up team at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen and young companies such as the inclusive online platform Unique United or Cognishine, a digital intervention platform for therapists, and the medical technology start-up inContAlert, which has developed a wearable for measuring bladder filling levels, present their innovative ideas and visionary products here. In order to turn such ideas into innovations and life-changing products, there needs to be an exchange between users and experts as well as networking platforms and financial support. The Future Pavilion (Hall 2) at REHAB aims to achieve this.

New possibilities through e-mobility aids with innovative functions

“We are delighted to present the ergoflix® carbon at REHAB in Karlsruhe - a foldable power wheelchair that combines design and functionality in a unique way,” announces ergoflix Group GmbH. The new electric wheelchair impresses “with a sporty carbon look and is the ideal companion for anyone who prefers an active lifestyle”, the company announces in advance. A modern operating module and a range of up to 35 kilometers as well as front wheel suspension promise a high level of driving comfort. In addition, the wheelchair offers the option of extending the seat width to 55 cm and fitting a wide range of accessories, including a swivel arm for the control module, headrest, control module adapter for accompanying persons and a cane holder.

Freedom One Life Ltd. stands for innovative, foldable power wheelchairs that are characterized by their easy handling and high mobility. They can be folded in just one second and are easy to store, making them ideal for traveling and everyday use. Nine models are currently available, ranging from small (for children and small people) to very large (up to 227 kg user weight): These include FreedomChair DE09, a foldable and divisible heavy-duty wheelchair, FreedomChair A13 with sprung front wheel fork, large rear wheel suspension and many other adjustment options, and Arnie - the wheelchair trailer coupling. This accessory makes it possible to attach a trolley or a bag and transport shopping or luggage.

At REHAB 2025, R & E Stricker Reha-Entwicklungen GmbH will be presenting its innovations in the field of mobile drive solutions for wheelchairs, including the Lomo GX and the Micro GX, which have been generating enthusiasm since their launch in 2024.

“In addition to a travel and heavy-duty version of the PAWS traction device, we will be presenting a configurable version of the ICON60 rigid-frame active wheelchair and offering our traction devices for testing on the outdoor test track,” says Heiko Hoppenberg, Managing Director DACH at Rehasense Deutschland GmbH (dm-arena / R12). Innovations that can be experienced include the “mini” Eco-Travel mobility scooter: it is foldable and very light, making it perfect for traveling and tight spaces. The new “Starlight carbon” rollator series will be the first product line to be available exclusively for pre-qualified specialist retailers.

As a specialist in lightweight and user-friendly electric mobility, Alber's range includes particularly portable and versatile mobility aids for wheelchair users. These include auxiliary drives, traction devices, foldable electric wheelchairs, stair climbing aids, braking and pushing aids. “As a platform for innovative solutions in the field of rehabilitation and mobility, this trade fair offers the opportunity to present our product portfolio and innovations. We look forward to maintaining a direct exchange with our specialist departments and gaining valuable insights into the needs and expectations of our target groups,” says Nebojsa Sukman, Head of Sales, Alber GmbH.

At REHAB 2025, the company will be showcasing its new scalamobil mobile stair climbing aid with innovative sensor technology that redefines safety and user-friendliness. The holding angle monitoring system supports the operator in the correct posture in any position, while the dynamic step enables smooth and controlled movement over steps. In addition, the device automatically recognizes the climbing direction in “Auto mode” and offers the option of activating the climbing process either automatically or via a drive switch with supported sensor monitoring.

DM-System is also presenting a premiere at REHAB with the electric, stair-climbing wheelchair X10 - a “real game changer” according to the company. The compact M4 wheelchair is equipped with two integrated rubber tracks that can be extended as required (for going up and down stairs) and transport users safely up or down. It can also be used to negotiate the majority of the stairs. Thanks to the integrated LeDAR sensor system, the stair climber offers maximum safety: it recognizes its surroundings and protects the user from accidents. The low center of gravity also contributes to safety.

NHD GMBH will also be presenting its new stair climber live in front of a large audience for the first time: the X7, the latest member of the XSTO Mobility power wheelchair family for active people, which makes everyday stair climbing a breeze.

Test and experience: Innovation centre, car test drives and test course

Selected appliances can be tested for their suitability for everyday use on a test track in the outdoor area (between Halls 1 and 2). A number of car conversion companies such as PARAVAN and Felitec will also be offering car test drives on the grounds (between the dm-arena and Hall 3). Innovative exhibits can also be seen in the Innovations Centre, directly in the entrance area of the action hall.
