REHAB 2025: Shaping the future - For children. For families. For more participation.
Children are our future - each and every one of them counts. This is precisely why children and young people with rehabilitation needs are a particular focus at the REHAB trade fair in Karlsruhe. This year, around 50 companies, organizations and service providers for the young target group will show what is possible over three days at the Marketplace for Child and Youth Rehabilitation in Hall 3 of the Messe Karlsruhe - with modern technology, personal advice, inclusive offers and a lot of heart.
Innovation meets everyday life
Whether for therapy, school, home or leisure: REHAB presents customized aids, smart solutions and creative approaches for children with physical or neurological disabilities - always with a focus on participation and enjoyment of life.
One example: the FrameRunner from Ormesa is more than just a piece of sports equipment - it is a symbol of freedom. Its lightweight frame, individually adjustable supports and sturdy pneumatic tires make it a favourite companion for therapy, leisure and competition. „With the FrameRunner, children experience mobility at eye level - and the sparkle in their eyes is priceless,” says Marco Hessler from Wolturnus, who will be presenting the Framerunner as an innovation at the stand.
The new therapy chairs and seating systems Thessa (Therapeutical Seating System Application) and Mosa from Berollka also adapt flexibly to the growth and needs of each child - from a stable sitting position to a „high-low” position for more activity in everyday life. They can be tried out as prototypes for the first time at REHAB.

The MOTOmed gracile (RECK-Technik) brings movement into play - with passive, assistive or active training modes that strengthen arms and legs and are fun to use. They are particularly light and delicate for the needs of children and young people.
And for those who want to get higher up to eye level: dynamic standing training with the Heidelberg standing device (Rehatec) provides new stimuli - sensomotorically and emotionally. The prototype was specifically perfected in medical collaboration with Prof. Dr. Walter Strobl and his team - the revised model will be presented for the first time at this year's REHAB.

Advice that thinks along with you
In addition to aids, the focus is on people. Specialists from medical supply stores, therapy centers and self-help organizations provide individual, practical advice at eye level. The focus is always on enabling even the youngest children to participate in all areas of life - with tailor-made solutions, state-of-the-art materials and genuine cooperation with families, therapists and doctors.
A temporary home: the Lebensweg family hostel
A special place of security: at the Familienherberge Lebensweg in Schützingen, families with seriously ill children can take a break from the stresses of everyday life. Carers with heart and expertise, rooms full of warmth and offers for the whole family: „We give freedom and strength - that is our mission,” says Managing Director Karin Eckstein.
Living inclusion, celebrating encounters
People come together at REHAB - families, children, professionals. New sports can be tried out, inclusive games experienced and contacts made. The trade fair is a place to exchange, experience and participate.
Daniela Grüninger from Bogetec cuts to the chase: „REHAB is a real highlight for us every two years! We can present our rehab buggies live, receive valuable feedback and work together to improve mobility and quality of life.”
Tanja Grabbe from Schuchmann also emphasizes: „REHAB offers the perfect mix of trade and private visitors. We are looking forward to presenting our aids at the Karlsruhe trade fair in a direct exchange.”
